AL WAFA Foundation plans to do this by supporting the development of sustainable healthcare systems in the areas where we work.
AL WAFA Foundation believes that good health and access to healthcare are fundamental human rights. The overall goal of AL WAFA Foundation health programme is to improve the health of the poorest people and ensure that they have access to food. AL WAFA Foundation nutrition programmes work to prevent malnutrition and ensure that those who do suffer can gradually recover to full health.
In tackling hunger, AL WAFA Foundation aims to transform the lives of those living in poverty. Every year, we helps improve the health of thousands of poor people. AL WAFA Foundation work is guided by a health policy. For the most part, AL WAFA Foundation works on improving health through primary healthcare in emergency, rehabilitation and development situations specifically focusing on the following three areas:
- Maternal, neonatal and child health;
- Nutrition;
- Water and sanitation;
